Once an artist's workshop, My Flatrock Dwelling has been lovingly remodelled and transformed into a modern gathering space — meant to be shared and loved.
Nestled on four private acres just minutes from the city of St. John's, our home offers a peaceful escape without the inconvenience of a long drive. Whether you're here to rest, celebrate, or simply breathe in the Newfoundland air, we've curated every detail with your comfort in mind.
The house is particularly well suited for four couples and makes a wonderful retreat for small families or friend gatherings. We have games, an abundance of books, an artist's shed, and one of the most incredible wood-burning fireplaces you'll ever sit beside.
Your stay is curated for your comfort. We've thought of all the extras — and we'll always do our best to accommodate if you need a little something more.

Everything you need to get settled from the moment you arrive. Check-in is fully self-guided — no waiting, no fuss.
The Amenities.
My Flatrock Dwelling has been thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for a comfortable, connected, and enjoyable stay.
The fully equipped chef's kitchen and dining table seat twelve. Essential pantry staples (oil, salt, pepper, coffee) are provided. Please clean up after each use and store all food in the refrigerator or pantry.
Firewood and kindling are provided. Please ensure the fire is fully extinguished before leaving the property or retiring for the evening. Never leave a fire unattended.

Password: None required — simply connect to the network and you're online.
Fresh linens and towels are provided for your stay. Extra towels can be found in the upstairs linen closet. Please leave used towels at the foot of the bed upon departure.
The property is stocked with an abundance of books, board games, and puzzles for your enjoyment. Please return everything to its original home before you check out.
The BBQ and four-acre grounds are yours to enjoy. The artist's shed is a wonderful spot to explore. Please treat all outdoor spaces and furnishings with care.
Garbage bins are located at the end of the driveway. Please sort recycling from household trash. Remove all garbage before departure.
Ample parking is available on-site in the driveway. Please do not block the main access lane to the property.

You're in one of the most spectacular corners of Newfoundland — dramatic coastline, historic villages, and the vibrant capital city just minutes away.
One of NL's most dramatic hikes — 15.1 km from Flatrock to Pouch Cove along towering coastal cliffs, sea caves, and sweeping Atlantic vistas. The trailhead is at the end of Hickeys Lane, minutes from the dwelling.
~2 min · Hickeys Lane, FlatrockA beautiful and unexpected religious site right in Flatrock, with statues of St. Bernadette and St. Michael. Pope John Paul II visited and prayed here in 1984. Serene, striking, and deeply meaningful.

~20 min · St. John's, NLThe most easterly point of North America and Newfoundland's oldest surviving lighthouse. Watch for icebergs and whales in spring, hike the East Coast Trail, and explore the WWII fortification ruins. An absolute must.
